About the Book
“How to Be a Stoic: Using Ancient Philosophy to Live a Modern Life” is the first book of the collection “Wellbeing” published by Soroosh-e Mowlana Publication. This book can be considered as a novel approach towards the stoic philosophy.
In the present book, Massimo Pigliucci has tried to summarize the valuable teachings of stoics and expresses and elaborates them via pleasant, thoughtful yet simple words. Pigliucci has further discussed the twelve spiritual and practical stoic rules of how to behave in everyday life.
Stoicism is a practical philosophy, the presence of which is felt in each and every single moment of our lives, informing us of the important and unimportant matters and guiding us to distinguish the possible from the impossible. It is by comprehending the various aspects of stoicism that one can answer the most fundamental questions of life.
